Sep 30, 2024: “We enjoyed fantastic views of the surrounding mountains as we rode up the mountain on the gondola. It had snowed the night before, highlighting the fascinating textures of the rocky cliffs. Fall colors were just beginning to show. Lovely!” 0
Sep 19, 2024: “We took the gondola to the top the mountain and the views were amazing. We did a short hike - very steep in spots so poles are handy. The restaurant was closed for the season which was too bad as the place was really crowded and I'm sure that they would have done a great business. Took the gondola back down then took the chair lift up to the Grizzly Refuge. The guide here is amazing and you will learn a lot about grizzly bears and if you're lucky will see the resident bear Boo. Stopped in to the Double Black Cafe and enjoyed wine on the sunny and warm outside patio. What a glorious day!” 1
Aug 23, 2024: “We absolutely loved seeing Boo the Bear! I even endured the chairlift (I hate heights!), which my family told me was not even that high, to pay him a visit. We arrived later in the day so spent about an hour there, and the young female guide did not stop talking about Boo, his life, grizzly bears in general and the enclosure for over an hour. Her knowledge was amazing, as was her passion for her job. Boo only showed himself for about 5 minutes, but it was enough for us to become firm fans! If you can, go on this trip - it was truly wonderful!” 2
